PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke football team will play host to No. 16 Delta State for a non-conference contest on Saturday as part of Parents & Families Weekend presented by Zaxby's. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Grace P. Johnson Stadium.
The Braves (1-1) head into Saturday's contest following a 31-24 victory over Fayetteville State last weekend as part of the Two Rivers Classic. The Statesmen (2-0) come into Saturday after a dominating 41-9 victory over North Greenville.
Saturday's non-conference matchup will be the first time the two teams have met.
| WHAT TO KNOW |
Braves Club Hospitality: The Braves Club hospitality tent will be located inside the stadium, giving members exclusive access to view pregame warmups while enjoying conversation, food, and drinks. The hospitality tent will open 30 minutes prior to kickoff and remain open throughout the whole game for guests.
Parking: Parking in Lot 14 (across from Grace P. Johnson Stadium) is available for $5 for students, and $5 for the general public. Ushers will be available at both entrances to collect payment, as well as answer questions. Space in the parking lots adjacent to the stadium and Caton Fieldhouse are open to passholders only. Fans attending the UNCP volleyball tournament on Saturday who want to park in the Jones parking lot (Lot 14) will be required to pay $5.
Tailgating: Fans may tailgate beginning at 8:30 a.m. Complete tailgating policies can be accessed by visiting this page.
Clear Bag Policy: Fans entering Grace P. Johnson Stadium will be asked to have a clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12". All bags are subject to be searched upon entry.
Parent & Family Tickets: Students who want to purchase tickets for family members to sit in the main grandstand can purchase tickets for $10 each. Tickets can be purchased Tuesday and Wednesday between 12-2 p.m. at the Concession Stand inside of the Jones Center. Tickets will be limited and must be paid for by cash or checks made payable to UNCP Athletics. |
| WHAT TO WATCH FOR |
POW/MIA Commemorative Chair: A Seat of Honor near the main entrance to Grace P. Johnson Stadium was unveiled earlier this season to commemorate American service men and women who were prisoners of war or are missing in action (POW/MIA). The seat was made possible by the generous support of Braves Club member, the late Mr. Adolphus Lee Turner and the Triple Nickle Society.
Zaxby's: Zaxby's, who will serve as the presenting partner for Saturday's game, will be doing a giveaway for the first 500 fans through the gates. If the Braves win by two or more touchdowns, fans can visit the Pembroke Zaxby's on Sunday for 10% off OR a free side with the purchase of an adult entree. |

The UNC Pembroke volleyball team will be hosting the UNCP Invitational beginning on Friday. Fans attending the UNCP volleyball tournament on Saturday who want to park in the Jones parking lot (Lot 14) will be required to pay $5. Below is Saturday's volleyball schedule.
- 9 a.m. - Virginia State vs. Eckerd
- 11 a.m. - Wingate vs. Albany State
- 1 p.m. - UNC Pembroke vs. Eckerd
- 3 p.m. - Coker vs. Albany State
- 5 p.m. - Coker vs. Virginia State
