GREENVILLE, S.C. - After helping the UNC Pembroke softball team to a sweep over Barton in the regular season finale over the weekend, Maggie Cunningham has been named as the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week presented by Athletic Solutions, league officials announced Tuesday. 

A native of Indiana, Pa., Cunningham went 5-for-7 from the plate during the doubleheader and drove in five runs. The freshman went 3-for-3 from the plate during the second game of the series with three runs batted in. 

Cunningham is batting .330 this season and has driven in 22 runs. She is also a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen base attempts during the year.
