Lucas Picks Up D2CCA All-Southeast Region Honor

May 18, 2026

PEMBROKE – Postseason accolades continued to roll in as Landon Lucas earned Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region Honors, the organization announced Monday.

The selection marked the 15th time in the last 18 full seasons that the Braves have been represented on the All-Region squad. It is also the 11th time in the last 13 full seasons the Black & Gold have had a 1st-Team selection.

After being named to the first team last year at the utility/pitcher position, Lucas was selected as the 1st-Team third baseman this season.

Lucas becomes the first player in program history to be named D2CCA First-Team All-Region in back-to-back seasons.

Lucas finished the year with a .419 (88-for-210) batting average, 20 doubles, three triples, 20 home runs, and 76 RBI, becoming the first Brave to reach the 20 double-20 home run mark since Collins Cuthrell in 2015. The Blythewood, S.C. native tallied at least one hit in 45 of 50 games, and tallied 26 multi-hit games, 24 multi-RBI games, and three multi-home run games. Lucas was named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week in March after going 10-14 with three doubles, a home run, and eight RBI in the series sweep at Southern Wesleyan. Lucas finished the regular season ranked in the top five in Division II in four categories, including second in hits and fifth in home runs and RBI.

With his selection to the first team, Lucas will now transition to the D2CCA All-America ballot.
