RALEIGH – The 21^st-ranked UNC Pembroke got individual victories four different wrestlers on the day, but could not string together wins on the way to losses to second-ranked (NAIA) Reinhardt and ninth-ranked (NCAA DI) NC State on Saturday afternoon at the Wolfpack Duals.
 
All-American Nick Daggett, Sammy Peticos and Brandon Sloop all posted wins in the 27-12 setback to Reinhardt, but the Eagles captured four of the last five individual matchups to secure the team triumph. The Braves took the early lead on Daggett's technical fall at 125 pounds, and then forged a 9-7 advantage following a major decision from Peticos at 149 pounds. Reinhardt won each of the next four matches, however, to go ahead for good.
 
Jonathan Miller posted UNCP's lone individual win of the matchup with the host and ninth-ranked Wolfpack thanks to a decision over NC State's John Devine. The hosts would close out the dual with seven-straight individual victories, however, including three of the bonus-point variety.
 
The Braves will remain in Raleigh to take part in Sunday's NC State-hosted Wolfpack Open inside Carmichael Gymnasium. Wrestling action is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.
