GREENWOOD, S.C. – Georgia Page and Amanda Hamrin each carded a six-over-par 78 in the first round of action to help the UNC Pembroke golf team sit in 13^th place in a stacked field after day one of the Lady Bearcat Invitational on Monday at the Links at Stoney Point. 
 
Page and Hamrin are among a tie for 46^th place and sit 10 strokes behind the individual leader, Lena Schilowsky of Limestone. Freshman Toni Blackwell (+7) is in an eight-way tie for 56^th place, while Samantha DeBusk (+11) is tied for 81^st place after the first round. Madison Deese (+13) rounded out the scoring for the Braves in a five-way tie for 100^thplace.
 
The Braves will close out action tomorrow for the final round of competition at the Lady Bearcat Invitational.
