TOCCOA, Ga. -  Catherine DeSiena carded a seven-over-par in the opening round of action at the 2026 Currahee Cup to position the UNC Pembrok golf team in second place on Monday afternoon at the Currahee Golf Club. 

DeSiena (+7) is currently in second place, and sits just four strokes behind Fantine Cabry of Erskine who is currently leading the individual tournament with a three-over-par 75 in the first round. Marta Ortega (+10) is in a tie for fourth place, while Melissa Guerra Landa (+14) is in a tie for 14th place after Monday's round. Maya Fitzgerald (+24) is in a tie for 23rd place, while Taylor Black (+25) rounded out the scoring for the Braves and is in 25th place. 

Ella Woo (+18) who is playing as an individual, is in 20th place. 

Due to inclement weather, play was suspended during the second round. The final nine holes of the tournament will be played on Tuesday. All scores indicate only the completed first round of play.
