TOCCOA, Ga. -  The UNC Pembroke golf team claimed a runner-up finish at the Emmanuel-hosted 2026 Currahee Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Currahee Golf Club. 

Catherine DeSiena (+17) finished in a three-way tie for first place with Fantine Carby of Erskine and Alba Caliz Rejas of Emmanuel, but lost in the three-hole playoff. Marta Ortega (+22) picked up a top-10 finish placing in fifth place, while while Melissa Guerra Landa (+33) finished among a three-way tie for 15th place. Maya Fitzgerald (+39) made a jump on the leaderboard to finish in 20th place, while Taylor Black (+53) rounded out the scoring for the Black & Gold in 26th place.

Ella Woo (+33) who played as an individual, also made a move on the leaderboard to finish in a three-way tie for 15th place.  

The Braves will return to action on Monday at the Catawba-hosted Patsy Rendleman Invitational. The two-day tournament will be played at the Country Club of Salisbury.
