ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. – Amanda Hamrin shot a four-over-par 76 in the opening round of competition to sit tied for seventh place on the individual leaderboard and help the UNC Pembroke golf team to sixth place after one round at the Peach Belt Conference Championship at Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
Hamrin (+4) is three strokes behind Ana Thorne (+1) and Selina Budde (+1) both from Columbus State who are currently leading the tournament after an opening round of 73. Newcomers
Toni Blackwell (+10) and
Georgia Page (+10) are amongst a tie for 20
th place, while
Samantha DeBusk (+16) is in 27
th place.
Madison Deese (+23) rounded out the scoring for the Braves in 29
th place.
The Black & Gold will be back in action tomorrow for the second round of competition of the Peach Belt Conference Championship. Tee time is set for 8:20 a.m. at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
