| 2ND QUARTER |

The unique chain of events was enough of a spark to get the offense started for the Oilers as Lynch scampered 72 yards on the next play from scrimmage to set up another attempt moments later, this time a 1-yard scoring drive. UNCP 7, UF 7
A turnover on downs later in the period set the Black & Gold up in good field position again, and the Braves answered the call. Josh Jones found Tyshawn Carter on a 60-yard pass-and-catch down the far sideline to eventually, and Jones found Trey Dixon alone in the end zone three plays later for the go-ahead score. UNCP 14, UF 7
Findlay needed just more than four minutes to drive 77 yards in 13 plays on the ensuing possession. The Oilers converted a key 3rd-and-7 opportunity early in the drive, and then completed a 13-yard pass to keep the drive alive later in the possession. A key roughing the passer penalty moments later moved Findlay inside the 10-yard line, and Matt Winzeler found Jake Brown on a 9-yard touchdown pass to knot the game up heading into intermission.
