SALISBURY - Redshirt senior Georgia Page carded a one-over-par 72 on Tuesday to help the UNC Pembroke golf team to a second place finish after shooting tournament-low 299 in the final round of action at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational at the Country Club of Salisbury.
 
A native of Sydney, Australia, Page shot a team-best for the tournament in the second round, and finished just three strokes behind individual champion Beatriz Espelosin of Lenoir-Rhyne. Newcomer Vilma Evald (+12) finished her first collegiate tournament with a fifth-place finish, while Toni Blackwell (+15) recorded a 14^th place finish with a two-round total of 157. Samantha DeBusk (+19) concluded the tournament in a tie for 22^nd place, while Amanda Hamrin (+20) rounded out the scoring for the Braves tied for 25^th place. 
 
Tuesday's round is the second-best round since the conclusion of 2018-19 season, and trails just a 297 turned in by the program at last season's Conference Carolinas Championship.
 
The Braves will be back in action on Monday when they trek to Dahlonega, Ga., for the LeeAnn Noble Memorial. The two-day tournament will be played at the Achasta Golf Club.
