Golf Tied For 10th After Opening Round Of World Golf Invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Georgia Page carded a 5-over-par 77 in the first round of action on Monday as the UNC Pembroke golf team sits comfortably tied for 10th place in a stacked field at the World Golf Invitational held at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
 
A native of Sydney, Australia, Page (+5) is tied for 34th place and is seven strokes off pace of Hanna Ahlander of Nova Southeastern, who currently is the individual leader. Freshman Toni Blackwell (+6) finished the first round tied for 41stplace after shooting a 78, while Samantha DeBusk (+7) is tied for 48th place. Amanda Hamrin (+8) is amongst a 10-way tie for 56th place. 

The Braves will close out competition on Tuesday for the final round of the World Golf Invitational. Tee times are set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course
