ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Georgia Page carded a 5-over-par 77 in the first round of action on Monday as the UNC Pembroke golf team sits comfortably tied for 10
th place in a stacked field at the World Golf Invitational held at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
A native of Sydney, Australia, Page (+5) is tied for 34
th place and is seven strokes off pace of Hanna Ahlander of Nova Southeastern, who currently is the individual leader. Freshman
Toni Blackwell (+6) finished the first round tied for 41
stplace after shooting a 78, while
Samantha DeBusk (+7) is tied for 48
th place.
Amanda Hamrin (+8) is amongst a 10-way tie for 56
th place.
The Braves will close out competition on Tuesday for the final round of the World Golf Invitational. Tee times are set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course
