INMAN, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke golf team carded a 15-over-par 303 in the final round of action to move the Braves into fourth place on the final day of competition at the Converse Fall Invite. 

The Braves 303 in the third round marked the best performance of the day along with Belmont Abbey, who also shot a 15-over-par. 

Newcomer Catherine DeSiena carded an even par in the final round of action for the best round on the team throughout the three rounds. DeSiena made a jump on the individual leaderboard and finished in a three-way tie for 13th place, and finished 12 strokes behind Mara Martinez of Emmanuel, who won the individual tournament. Ella Reed (+19) logged a three-over-par 75 in the final round to place in a tie for 20th place, while Marta Ortega (+20) finished in a five-way tie for 22nd place. Lola Barnett (+21) placed 27th after carding a four-over-par 76 in the final round of action, while Melissa Guerra Landa (+29) was among a three-way tie for 41st place. Michelle Guerra Landa (+38) rounded out the action finishing in a three-way tie for 55th place. 

The Black & Gold will return to action in the spring semester for their championship season.
