ST. SIMONS, Ga. -  Catherine DeSiena carded a team-best two-over-par in the second round of action at the St. Simons Intercollegiate as the UNC Pembroke golf team holds in 17th place after two rounds at the King and Prince Golf Resort.

DeSiena (+10) made a jump on the leaderboard and is in a six-way tie for 38th place, and is 14 strokes behind Sofia Terzoli of Flagler who leads the individual tournament at four-under-par. Melissa Guerra Landa (+19) sits in a seven-way tie for 72nd place, while Ella Reed (+23) is in a tie for 84th place. Lauren Locklear (+26) and newcomer Taylor Black (+26) rounded out the scoring finishing the second round tied for 88th place. 

The Braves will play the final round of the St. Simons Intercollegiate on Tuesday morning at the King and Prince Golf Resort.
