PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that soccer's Anna Grossheim and men's cross country's Kelvin Kibet have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on September 29, 2024. 

A native of Garner, Grossheim helped the Braves to a 2-0 week registering three goals and two assists on the week. The senior started the week with a goal and two assists against Limestone, and closed out the week with two goals against Shorter. Grossheim has now had seven multi-assist games in her career. 

Kibet cruised to an individual first place finish on Saturday at the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational with a 5K time of 15:58.66. Kibet helped the Black & Gold to a team title as well with the Braves earning a perfect score.
