ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The UNC Pembroke golf team began their championship season Monday at the LMU Spring Kickoff Intercollege and currently sit in 15th place following the opening two rounds of action at The Golf Course at South Hampton. 

Senior Chessa Lee (+17) paced the Braves and finished in a three-way tie for 55th place and sits 18 strokes behind Jaycee Jenkins of Palm Beach Atlantic who leads the individual tournament with a two-round total of 143. Catherine DeSiena (+24) and Marta Ortega (+24) are tied for 71st place, while Melissa Guerra Landa (+26) is tied for 75th place with a two-round total of 170. Newcomer Ella Reed (+27) rounded out the action and finished the day tied for 77th place. 

The Braves will close out action at the LMU Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
