Catherine DeSiena carded a three-over-par in the opening round of action to help position the UNC Pembroke golf team in fourth place after two rounds at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational on Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury.
A native of Oakridge, DeSiena (+12) is in third place and sits 13 strokes behind Justine Bayle of Tampa, who leads the individual tournament. Freshman
Marta Ortega (+16) is in a tie for 19th place, while senior
Chessa Lee (+17) currently sits in 21st place after two rounds.
Melissa Guerra Landa (+24) is in 27th place, while
Michelle Guerra Landa (+29) rounded out the scoring in a tie for 30th place.
Ella Reed (+36) currently holds control of 34th place, while
Lauren Locklear (+40) and
Maya Fitzgerald (+49) are in 36th and 38th place, respectively. The trio are all playing as individuals.
The Braves will close out action at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational on Tuesday at the Country Club of Salisbury.
