SNOW HILL – Senior Chessa Lee carded a team-best two-over-par in the final round of action as the UNC Pembroke golf team finished fifth at the Conference Carolinas Championship on Tuesday at Cutter Creek Golf Club.  

Lee (+12) finished in sixth place and just four strokes behind Abigail Cheney of Shorter and Keely Johnson of Emmanuel who finished in a tie for first and moved onto a playoff round. Newcomer Catherine DeSiena (+19) finished tied for 12th place, while freshman Marta Ortega (+29) finished in a four-way tie for 32nd place. Senior Michelle Guerra Landa (+30) closed out her collegiate career in 36th place, while Melissa Guerra Landa (+31) finished tied for 37th place after shooting her best round of the tournament with an eight-over-par in the final round. 

Chessa Lee was named to the All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the championship.
