McCORMICK, S.C. -  Ella Reed carded a team-best five-over-par 77 in the final round of action at the Savannah Lakes Invitational to help the UNC Pembroke golf team to an 11th place finish on Tuesday at the Monticello at Savannah Lakes Village.

Sophomore Marta Ortega (+19) finished in a three-way tie for 47th place and finished 24 strokes behind Hannah Nail of Lee and Emery Fisher of Carson-Newman who both finished the tournament at five-under-par. Reed (+20) and sophomore Catherine DeSiena (+20) finished in a four-way tie for 50th place, while Maya Fitzgerald rounded out the scoring in a three-way tie for 67th place. 

Lauren Locklear (+38) moved up the leaderboard and finished in a four-way tie for 77th place.  

The Braves will turn their attention to the St. Simon Intercollegiate set to begin on October 6. The two-day tournament will be played at the King and Prince Golf Resort in St. Simons, Ga.
