MT. PLEASANT, S.C. -  The UNC Pembroke golf team made a jump on the leaderboard and finished 12th at the LR Dunes West Women's Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Dunes West Golf & River Club. 

Catherine DeSiena (+22) finished in a three way tie for 31st place, and 19 strokes behind Camryn Wright of North Georgia who won the individual tournament.  Marta Ortega (+24) moved up the leaderboard to finish in a three way tie for 37th place while shooting a team-best 75 in the final round of action. Maya Fitzgerald (+36) finished in a tie for 66th place, while Ella Woo (+38) rounded out the scoring finishing the three-round tournament in a tie for 70th place.

Taylor Black (+46) finish among a tie for 76th place, while Melissa Guerra Landa (+39), who played as an individual, finished in 72nd place.

The Braves will return to action on March 9 for the Converse Spring Invite by Founder FCU. The two-day tournament will be played at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
