SPARTANBURG, S.C. -  Catherine DeSiena carded a team-best six-over-par in the final round of action at the Converse Spring Invite to help the UNC Pembroke golf team to a fifth place finish on Tuesday afternoon at the Carolina Country Club. 

DeSiena (+14) and Marta Ortega (+14) finished in a tie for sixth place and nine strokes behind Shelby Herbert of Barton who won the individual tournament shooting a five-over-par 149. Melissa Guerra Landa (+22) finished in a three-way tie for 17th place, while Maya Fitzgerald (+31) finished the tournament in 33rd place. Ella Woo (+46) rounded out the scoring for the Braves in a tie for 43rd place. 

Taylor Black (+25), who played as an individual, placed 23rd. 

The Braves will return to action on March 16 when they travel to Toccoa, Ga., for the Emmanuel-hosted 2026 Currahee Cup. The two-day tournament will be played the Currahee Golf Club.
