SALISBURY – For the second-consecutive week, Kasen McCawley was named Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). 

The senior logged his second-straight complete game in a 4-1 win over No. 11 Francis Marion in Game 2 of the series. McCawley allowed just four hits and one earned run while striking out six. 

Entering Saturday as the top scoring offense and ranked second in batting average in Division II, McCawley held Francis Marion to season lows in both runs and hits. 

McCawley (9-1) leads Conference Carolinas in wins, and is one of just two pitchers in Division II with nine wins. The Haw River native also becomes the first player in program history to win the award multiple times in a career.
