PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina Pembroke announced on Monday morning that soccer's Haley Sensenig and football's Malik Brown have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on September 13, 2026.

A native of New Bern, Sensenig logged a hat trick during Saturday's 10-0 victory over Shorter. The sophomore finished the match with a team-high seven shots, four of which were on target. 

Brown returned four kickoffs for 215 yards during Saturday's 31-24 victory at Shorter. A native of Tampa, Fla., Brown started the game returning the opening kickoff for an 88-yard touchdown, followed by a 91 yard touchdown return. He is the first player in program history to return two kickoff returns for touchdowns in a single game.
