PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that swimming's Britta Schwengle and football's Colin Johnson have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on October 22, 2023. 
  
Schwengle picked up three individual titles on Saturday during the UNCP-Tri meet and swam the anchor leg of the 400-yard Freestyle relay team that placed third. A native of Savaneta, Aruba, Schwengle also set the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool facility record in the 200-yard Freestyle and the 1000-yard Freestyle.
 
A product of Lee County High School, Johnson was responsible for six touchdowns during Saturday's shutout victory against West Virginia Wesleyan. Johnson threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns. The redshirt junior also rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns.
