PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that soccer's Eli Soderberg and football's Jaiden Nesbit have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on October 20, 2024. 

A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Soderberg scored a goal in both games last week to help the Braves to a 2-0 week. The junior started the week with a goal and three shots in 74 minutes of action at Mount Olive, while closing out the week with 10 shots, one goal and 78 minutes of action against Barton. 
 
A product of Havelock High School, Nesbit finished Saturday's game at Fairmont State with a team and game-high 14 tackles. The redshirt freshman tallied 10 solo tackles and four tackle assists.
