PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Bre'Asia Washington and men's basketball's Quay Watson have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on November 23, 2025.

A native of Lakeland, Fla., Washington averaged 12.5 points last week and shot 55.5 percent from the field. The junior's week was highlighted with a career and game-high 19 points in the conference opener against Young Harris on Saturday. Washington finished the week with eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. 

Watson averaged 14.5 points per game and shot 52.6 percent from the floor to help the Braves to a pair of victories. The sophomore scored a career and game-high 20 points against Young Harris on Saturday and went 5-for-11 from the perimeter during the contest. Watson added four steals, four rebounds, three assists and one block for the week as well.
