PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's cross country's Moureen Kimaiyo and men's basketball's Bradlee Haskell have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on November 10, 2024. 

A native of Eldoret, Kenya, Kimaiyo placed fifth in the NCAA Southeast Regional meet on Saturday with a school record time of 21:37.7. Kimaiyo punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships with her performance on Saturday. 

A product of Pinecrest, Haskell averaged 21.5 points in a pair of games last week and was 14-for-26 from the field. The senior's week was highlighted by a career-high 30 points against Lander on Sunday. Haskell added seven assists, three rebounds and one steal for the week as well.
