PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Hannah Russell and men's basketball's Bradlee Haskell have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on November 24, 2024. 

Russell started in both games last week and averaged 16.0 points per game. A native of Burlington, Russell started the week with 12 points against Fayetteville State and pulled down four defensive rebounds. The redshirt senior closed out the week with a game-high 20 points and nearly registered a double-double with nine rebounds. Russell finished the week with a pair of assists and two blocks as well.   

A native of Southern Pines, Haskell averaged 21.5 points per game in a pair of wins for the Braves last week. The senior started the week with a game-high 26 points to help fuel an upset against No. 9 Lincoln Memorial. Haskell finished the week with a 17-point showing against Erskine. He added eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal throughout the two games as well.
