PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Anastasia Sinclair and men's basketball's Josh Berenbaum have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on December 1, 2024. 

A native of Charlotte, Sinclair started in both games last week and averaged 10.5 points per game. The sophomore started the week scoring 10 points at Belmont Abbey and closed out the week with 11 points on the road at Lees-McRae. Sinclair finished the week with seven rebounds, four steals and one assist. 

Berenbaum came off of the bench and averaged 16.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game last week. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native started the week going 7-for-8 from the field and nearly registered a double-double with eight points at Belmont Abbey. The senior closed out the week with 18 points higlighted by a 4-for-5 clip from the perimeter and grabbed six rebounds at Lees-McRae.
