PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Zaria Clark and men's basketball's Josh Berenbaum have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on December 8, 2024. 

A native of Stanley, Clark finished the week averaging 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. The senior started the week with a double-double showing against Virginia Union logging 17 points and 11 rebounds. Clark closed out the week with 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists at Mount Olive on Saturday. She also finished with a team-best four steals at Mount Olive as well. 

Berenbaum came off of the bench and turned in a career-high 26 points at Mount Olive on Saturday. A native of St. Petersburg, Fla., Berenbaum was a perfect 9-for-9 from the field and nearly registered a double-double with nine rebounds. The senior finished with three steals as well in 26 minutes of work.
