PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Anastasia Sinclair and wrestling's Jake Piccirilli have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on January 5, 2025.

A native of Charlotte, Sinclair registered a game-high 19 points on Saturday to help the Braves to a win at Erskine in conference play. The sophomore played 33 minutes and finished the game going 8-for-9 from the free throw line. Sinclair also had three rebounds and three steals as well.

Piccirilli went 3-0 on the week earning two major decision wins and one tech fall victory. The Woodstock, Ga., native capped off his week with a pair of victories at the Mountain Cat Duals. Piccirilli is 14-2 this season and has 11 bonus point wins.
