PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Zaria Clark and wrestling's Oggie Atwood have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on January 26, 2025.

A native of Stanley, Clark finished with a game-high 18 points at Converse on Saturday. The senior went 7-for-12 from the field and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Clark capped off her performance with six rebounds, two steals and one assist in 35 minutes of work. 

With the match on the line, Atwood earned a major decision victory during Friday's senior night contest against division rival Mount Olive. A native of Kittanning, Pa., the graduate student won the match for the Black & Gold with a 13-2 victory over Slade Watkins.
