PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's track & field's Katie-Marie Sherlock and men's track & field's Tayvon Callahan have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on January 19, 2025.

A native of London, United Kingdom, Sherlock took top honors in the 400-meter Dash at the Finn Pincus Invitational with a time of 58.24. The sophomore closed out the weekend with a 4th place finish in the 200-meter Dash with a time of 26.00. Both of Sherlock's times are qualifying marks for the Conference Carolinas Championship.

Callahan placed first in the 60-meter Hurdles at the Finn Pincus Invitational with an NCAA provisional standard time of 8.12. The mark for Callahan is the fastest time in the event in Conference Carolinas this season.
