PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Kalaya Hall and baseball's Luke Barrow have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on February 11, 2024. 
  
An everyday starter for the Black & Gold, Hall, averaged 21.5 points in a pair of contests last week. Hall started the week with a game-high 25 points against Elizabeth City State on Wednesday, and closed out the week with 18 points against Erskine. The senior tallied nine rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block on the week as well. Hall has scored in double-figures in the last 16 games.   
 
A product of Oak Ridge, Barrow fanned seven batters against Shepherd on Saturday through five innings. Barrow did not allow a hit or a run during his start on Saturday. The senior has made two starts this season and has allowed just three hits while striking out 11 batters through his two appearances.
