PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's basketball's Zaria Clark and baseball's Spencer Ledford have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on February 16, 2025.

A native of Stanley, Clark started in both games last week and averaged 14.5 points and 9.0 rebounds. The senior started the week with 14 points and five rebounds against Chowan, while adding three assists as well. Clark closed out the week posting her 22nd career double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds at Southern Wesleyan. 

A product of Bandys High School, Ledford threw five scoreless innings on Friday against Shepherd. The redshirt senior allowed just two hits and struck out a career-high 12 batters. Ledford has a 1.86 earned run average and has struck out 20 batters and allowed just five hits in two games this season.
