PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that softball's Kaitlynn Hunt and baseball's Seth Willis have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on April 13, 2025.

A native of Fuquay-Varina, Hunt started in all four games and hit .538 from the plate. The freshman drove in nine runs during the week as well. Hunt's week was highlighted by a 3-for-3 showing against Mount Olive while also driving in five runs.  

A product of Vale, Willis came in for a pair of relief appearances last week and earned a pair of saves against No. 23 Francis Marion. The graduate student threw four innings and struck out 10 batters. Willis allowed just one hit and one run in his two appearances.
