PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's track & field's Kyleigh Pollock and baseball's Landon Lucas have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on April 5, 2026.

A native of Lumberton, Pollock broke the school record in the triple jump at the VertKlasse Meeting over the weekend with a mark of 12.00-meters. The redshirt sophomore placed fifth in the event and logged an NCAA provisional mark. The mark currently ranks second in Conference Carolinas. 

A product of Blythewood, S.C., Lucas went 6-for-14 from the plate, had a pair of doubles, two home runs and drove in three runs during the week. The redshirt senior's week was highlighted by a standout performance at USC Aiken where he provided the go-ahead two run homer and then picked up the save with a perfect ninth inning performance.
